Aqueles que encontram na fotografia apenas o resultado do desenvolvimento tecnológico dos equipamentos electrónicos, ópticos e químicos utilizados para a produção da fotografia, estão muito longe de entender o verdadeiro significado da arte fotográfica. Fotografia é a utilização de determinadas técnicas para codificar em imagem o mundo pessoal daquele que fotografa. E a foto arte exprime justamente isto, o sentimento do fotógrafo sobre as pessoas, a natureza e o mundo que o cerca.
